Elastic drive belts began appearing around 2004.
They are made of a combination of materials that gives them some elasticity.
These elastic qualities allow the belts to be "stretched" into place for installation, rather than having to loosen tensioners or pulleys.
However, these belts cannot be stretched into place by hand as they require some form of tooling to guide them onto the belts while the pulleys are turned.

Suitable for elastic belts such as those found on Alfa-Romeo, BMW, Citröen, Chrysler, Dacia, Fiat, Ford, Mazda, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Smart, VW and Volvo.
